Insight: Platform provider interopOverride logic bridges two independent platforms so views in separate runtimes join the same context group and exchange instrument, contact, and workflow data — the kind of multi-app wiring enterprise desks require.

Challenge: Demonstrate how developers extend the interop object on windows and views to connect context groups across platforms, not only within a single shell.

Outcome: Shipped a runnable how-to with dual-platform client flows, provider.ts connection logic, and documentation aligned to HERE interoperability concepts.

Register with Browser (workspace-starter)

Engineering

Headless platform provider that registers custom HERE Core UI Browser behaviors through the Workspace Platform SDK.

Insight: Shows how to own browser chrome end-to-end — launch bars, custom toolbars, multi-page and locked-page windows, and provider-registered actions — without treating the browser as a black box.

Challenge: Give platform teams concrete patterns for launching and controlling browser windows (maximized, fixed views, no tab, save semantics) independent of Home and Store.

Outcome: Delivered an eval-ready sample with manifest-driven launch bar, provider.ts registration, and documented browser customization paths for production platform builders.

HERE Core UI Platform Starter

Engineering

Configurable workspace platform template — themes, FDC3 intents, interop broker overrides, auth, and component bootstrapping.

Insight: A full platform skeleton: customize Home, Browser, Dock, and Store through overrides and config rather than fork-and-patch, including multi-platform live manifests and FDC3 app-directory integration.

Challenge: Reduce time-to-first-platform for financial services teams that need opinionated defaults but must still own entitlements, analytics, and interop policy.

Outcome: Maintained the flagship starter with live launch manifests, persona-based docs, and extension guides for apps, intents, cloud interop, and low-code integrations.

Full-stack content platform features

End-to-end ownership of feature epics — Next.js UI, APIs, validation, and architecture documentation.

Challenge: Ship new content functionality on deadline while reducing technical debt and keeping architecture decisions visible to engineering leadership.

DHS & In-Q-Tel proof of concept

Solutions engineering

First U.S. government engagement — deployed POC for DHS with executive and stakeholder alignment.

Challenge: Translate sales and customer requirements into a deployed proof of concept for Department of Homeland Security systems while coordinating engineering on feature delivery and adoption.

Outcome: Secured a $400K contract; became the first engineer in the department to obtain BI access and PIV card credentials while delivering POC solutions and training programs.
